Is it just me? --I love the start of a new year! It feels so hopeful and exciting, like anything is possible! I look forward to what this new year (and decade!) will bring.
Ringing in the New Year! We made noise makers and saved bubble wrap to pop for the big moment. Of course we did it a bit early this year so all the kiddos could join in the fun--Kenna is just a girl who likes to get her sleep! She called it a night at 9:00, Jaren lasted until 11:00 and Kaelyn, Greg and I made it to midnight, but we were dragging!!
We ended up spending New Years with just our little family this year. The two youngest are just not ready to party it up at other people's soirees quite yet. We made sure we fit the criteria for a fantastic party, though:
- good food (the kids picked out pizza, mini eclairs and cheetos, Greg and I also enjoyed shrimp cocktail )
- good games (Life, Cadoo, Hullaballoo)
- good music (family favorite songs from the I-pod)
- And of course people we love!
All snuggled and cozy in the blankets Grandma Dickson made for them.
Kaelyn, Kenna and Jaren on the very last day of the decade!
Perfect, although we missed you!
